Blue Apple Players

• The Blue Apple Players performed at the school today. The play was about hyperboles, which is definitely helpful for teaching literacy. It was creative, but I liked their performance of The Three Pigs: The Wild West Will Never Be The Same better last year. 

Writing Chart

• The students were excited to see the writing chart that my mom helped me make. I am glad that my teacher wanted this chart; now that the students are using it, I can see how useful it is. My teacher is letting me keep this chart for when I get my own classroom. I like that the writing chart is both cute and functional. My teacher said that my chart would be great for any grade. I was surprised by how much space the chart takes up. 

"The Princess Pat"

• While waiting with my second bus wave students, I decided to teach them one of my favorite action songs, "The Princess Pat." The students participated, but they did not seem to enjoy the song as much as I do.

• 5/13/16: Field Trip
• Famous Hoosier Project

Grading Papers

• We graded more papers tonight; grades are due tomorrow.
• We had pizza with some of the other teachers in the building in honor of the deadline. 

Sub on Friday

• My teacher is going to an awesome conference on Friday, which covers student-centered classrooms. On Thursday, I will submit what I want put into the sub plans.
